Adjusting the Grid
Adding background color to the grid or cell
4 Changing background color from the "Table Design" tab.
To apply a background color to the entire grid, first select the entire table, which will prompt the "Table Design" tab to appear on the navbar. Then, choose "Shading" to select and apply your desired background color. If you aim to change the background color of just a single cell within the grid, place your cursor in that cell, navigate to "Table Design," and select "Shading" to make the change.
Adjusting Padding
5 Step by step view of how to make padding adjustments to a grid.
To add padding (spacing) inside your grid, select the table within the grid content control. Proceed to the "Layout" tab and choose "Table Properties." Alternatively, you can access "Table Properties" by right-clicking on the table and selecting it from the dropdown menu. Adding padding is particularly useful when you have a background color, as it prevents the content you insert from extending all the way to the edges of the grid.
6 To add padding to the entire grid, you select "Table" and "Options.." in Table Properties.
To add padding to the entire grid, open “Options…” in the “Table” tab.
7 Inserting the values for padding, in this example we are adding 0,5 cm padding to the entire grid.
In the "Default Cell Margins" section, enter your preferred padding values for the table.
8 To add padding to a single cell, click "Cell" and "Options.." in Table Properties.
To add padding to an individual cell rather than the entire grid, open "Table Properties" and select "Cell."
9 Adding padding to the inserted grid. In this example we have used 0,1 cm padding for all sides in a single cell.
Unselect the "Same as whole table" checkbox and enter your desired padding. Once satisfied with the padding (spacing) inside the grid, click OK and you're ready to add content.
Inserting design elements
Add the illustrations or images you wish to include, then utilize the "image settings" option within the add-in to customize their appearance. For illustrations to maintain a consistent size, we have opted for the "actual size" selection in the add-in.
12 Center-aligning the content in both cells.
For aligning content within cells, click on the grid or the specific cell you wish to adjust. Then, go to the Layout tab and choose your preferred alignment.
13 Inserting a KPI in a cell underneath the illustration.
Navigate out of the image settings content control by using the keyboard arrows. Once outside, you'll have the capability to insert more elements. Should the add-in have trouble recognizing the grid you are working on, utilize the "Find me" button to assist it in identifying the selected grid.

Neglecting these errors can lead to content loss, loss of responsiveness, or incorrect formatting in your report.
15 If you modify the cell size to dimensions outside our supported range, an error message will appear, prompting you to revise the sizing. After adjusting the cell size to a supported dimension, click "Revalidate" to recalibrate the settings.
